It not only met our expectations but it exceeded them, everything was arranged to the last detail and the team was always available to help, amend, facilitate with any situation or questions we had. We had a great time, transportation to and from places, transfers to activities, meals arranged, hotels, activities, everything was super. In many cases with the national parks it depends on the guide you end up having, but the overall experience for us was perfect and we consider ourselves very lucky as we managed to see quite a lot of animals and do plenty of things for the two weeks we were in this lovely country. One day I wanted to change a pick-up at the last minute, I was able to communicate with MJ who sorted it out straight away. The only thing I would say is that instead of the cooking class in La Fortuna, I would perhaps have gone with a horseback ride of Arenal if I went back to it and maybe stay a day extra at Puerto Viejo and Monteverde because both places were breathtaking, the accommodations were great and we could have done with a slower pace there. The jaguar centre at Puerto Viejo is definitely a highlight for us, so perhaps GWA can consider including it or suggesting it to future visitors. All our guides spoke enough English for good communication and in most cases both our breakfasts and lunches were sorted. CR is a very friendly country, so we didn't have any trouble walking around at night in the different areas we stayed to find dinner and when the pick up was really early, the hotels would usually prepare a packed breakfast for us to go.We can't thank GWA enough for this experience.

We started... read more planning a bit late for the crowded December holiday tourist season, but Jannik was able to get us into great hotels and booked activities for us with excellent, reputable adventure companies. Everything went off without a hitch and all of our transfers, from airport pickup to dropoff, went smoothly. Costa Rica was one of the most beautiful places we've ever visited. The unspoiled nature was stunning.

The guides were great, especially Crystal in La Fortuna, who was truly exceptional, and thanks to these guides we saw a huge variety of wildlife: birds, snakes, monkeys, sloths, frogs...
All the accommodation and transport was of a high standard, and when our bus was delayed by 15 minutes we were kept informed. It was good to know that there was 24 hour assistance available locally by whatsapp, but it is indicative of the high quality of the planning that we did not have to contact them once. All in all a great experience, a big thank you to GWA, we would definitely recommend.

Ours were... read more Costa Rican National Parks and adventures like whitewater rafting, ziplining, and water-based nature tours. GWA assembled the lodging, travel, and day tours meticulously. Shout out to Veronica, who was our primary organizer, and her team, who were with us "virtually" every step along the way even though we never met face to face!

We visited the parks we wanted, saw lots of native animals and plants, had fabulous food and accomodations, met interesting fellow travelers along the way, and had seamless connections in tourist vans between all five major destinations. Loved this style of tour and travel. Highly recommend GWA!
