He is specialist on adventure tourism, nature vacations and programs for student trips. He’s an extrovert, loves to travel and experience new cultures. Vilma was born in Lithuania, Eastern Europe, where she has lived most of her life. She is a passionate professional glass artist who fell in love with a “Tico” and moved to the land of “Pura Vida”, as she also fell in love with the Sun, marvelous nature, fruits and coffee of Costa Rica. Her work as an artist is now encompassed with tourism. Vilma discovered some of the wonders Costa Rica has to offer and she is eager to help foreigners discover this country from the perspective of the outsider. She loves to travel, breath fresh air, observe and listening to the sound of nature.
Eva is an outdoor educator and naturalist tour guide, passionate about nature, adventure and cultures. She grew up on the south of the Nicoya peninsula, she loves the ocean, surfing, hiking and sports specially swimming and jogging. Her strength is working with students and adventure trips. She thinks people can always find the best of themselfs when they are doing something they feel passionate about. Her favorite destination in Costa Rica is the Osa peninsula.
My name is Isabelle Corneo Gauthier; I was born in Québec, Canada. My father is Italian and my mother is French Canadian. We came to live in Costa Rica when I was less than 2 years old. I grew up in the mountains close to what today is known as “The Children’s Eternal Forest”.
After working in the exportation business and different fields of the tourism industry, I became a naturalist guide in 1996. I first started to work in Tortuguero; this area became an open classroom for me. There I learned about the rain forest and all its treasures. Later I extended my horizon to other parts of our beautiful “Rich Coast”.
I studied Agotourism at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica and since 15 years ago I have been guiding tours around Costa Rica. On my tours, I like to combine topics like ecosystems interpretation, culture of Costa Rica, history details and daily aspects of the Costa Rican life.
I love to spent my time with my family, bird watching, reading and get involve with projects in my community.
Lives in La Fortuna, San Carlos. With a degree in Natural Resources Management, An ardent lover of nature, especially bird watching. With experience as a naturalist guide since 2004 through Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua.
He has been involved in many projects of environmental character and social projection. Member of the Ornithological Association of Costa Rica and currently training in Advanced Techniques for Bird Monitoring in the Costa Rican Bird Observatory.
Other topics of interest are sustainable development, ecology, protected areas management, ecotourism, rural tourism, biomimicry and nature photography.
Juan Carlos is double majored in Sustainable Tourism Management and Biology with a specialization in ecology and sustainable development. Beside his formal education, he has earned his international certification in Wilderness First Aid, CPR, Swift Water Rescue and Vertical Rope Rescue by organizations like RESCUE 3 INTERNATIONAL and NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL from USA.
He has been working for almost fifteen years as a naturalist and adventure guide; and for him; his job is one of his biggest passions. Juan Carlos also has a lot of experience leading team building and conflict resolution activities/programs, with different size groups and he has been given lectures about history and development of tourism in Costa Rica, adventure tourism, rural tourism, sustainable construction methods, and several other topics to local and international universities.
Since he was a little boy Diego knew he needed to be outside and not among four walls! Become a professional tour guide in Costa Rica is a dream come truth for him, who really enjoys showing it’s own land’s natural beauty with a peculiar social and cultural touch.
Born in Cartago “Costa Rica´s old capital”, studied in a prestigious university all about the countries natural heritage and his years of experience give his tours a real sense of how special this part the world is. Some of his own words are “I feel bless to be here!”.
