The favorite destination of Vilma

Osa peninsula

Since 2016, Vilma works at Green World Adventures. Vilma is from Lithuania, Eastern Europe and moved to Costa Rica to live with her ‘Tico’. All our employees are passionate for traveling and love to explore Costa Rica. Vilma has seen a lot of Costa Rica, but actually what is her favorite destination in Costa Rica?

Vilma named destinations as los Santos, Tortuguero, but today we will highlight: Osa Peninsula.

Osa Peninsula

Osa Peninsula; a paradise for travellers who want to see wildlife in Costa Rica. Osa Peninsula is at the south Pacific coast of Costa Rica. This site is known for the Corcovado National Park. We can say this destination is a more off the beaten track because it is not easy to reach! Places as Drake Bay can only be reached by boat, plane or 4WD-jeep, the roads require driving through rivers.

Corcovado is an outdoor adventure destination, you can go snorkelling around Caño Island to see some dolphins, whales and turtles. Also, in Corcovado National Park, you can experience wildlife from jaguars to macaws. Surfing, rural areas, wildlife, Osa has it!

Activities to do

A must see is Corcovado National Park, the park takes up almost half of the Osa Peninsula. Corcovado national park is only possible to enter with a licensed guide. A unique experience to spot wild animals you might have never seen before!

Common activities at Osa Peninsula are diving, surfing, snorkelling and birdwatching.

We have some great photos from Osa Peninsula that should make you want to travel there!
