As you are aware, the Costa Rican Government and Health Authorities have announced a new regulation starting on December 1, 2021, proof of vaccination against Covid-19 will be required for entry to most commercial establishments including hotels, restaurants, stores, museums, spas, and tours.
Therefore, it will be mandatory for all tourists over 12 years of age to present the QR code with proof of completed vaccination to enter hotels, restaurants, and tourist activities People will be required to show their vaccination status using the QR code they will receive when completing the Health Pass to travel to Costa Rica (very easy step). https://salud.go.cr .
Vaccinated tourists must attach their vaccination certificate to the Health Pass.
As proof, vaccination certificates and vaccination cards that contain at least the following information will be accepted:
In the case of U.S. travelers, the “COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card” will be accepted
To comply with complete vaccination, the last dose should be applied at least 14 days before entry or check-in. Tourists who are not fully vaccinated or have vaccinations not listed above may enter the country and stay with family, friends, or in their own home but not enter hotels, stores, or do tours.
Green World Adventures requires all tourists to be fully vaccinated to be part of their programs as all the suppliers will be asking for these requirements.
How will international tourists get their QR codes?
Tourists entering the country will receive a QR code once they have completed their Health Pass application. https://salud.go.cr . It is recommended to carry the health pass and copy of vaccination certificates for all tourists throughout their visit to Costa Rica. These documents must be presented to enter commercial establishments and adventure tours.
