Arrival to the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). After customs and enter Costa Rica, a representative of GWA will be waiting for you outside the airport. You will have a private transfer to your hotel located in San Jose.

Early transfer to the Pacuare River, located in the Caribbean slopes. You will raft through the incredible rainforest on 19 miles of Class III-IV whitewater. A delicious lunch will be waiting for you at the end.
Then, you will take transportation to your next destination, the Arenal Volcano.

Enjoy this day, taking a hike in Arenal Volcano National Park with a naturalist guide. You will walk along lava flow trails and have the chance to observe a wide variety of birds, iguanas, coatis, and many other animals.
You’ll then arrive at the observation point of the Arenal Volcano -- this is the closest you can get to the base of the Arenal Volcano -- and the perfect vantage point to take remarkable photos of the Arenal Volcano. This hike takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
