We (my wife and I, both in our 40s, and our 9 year old son) spent a load of time looking through Costa Rica tour operators for a 2 week... read more adventure, and in the end thought GWA had the most interesting and varied package, and also built in sustainability-themed tourism most effectively.
We went to Costa Rica for the first 2 weeks of April, and we spent 2 days in each of the first 4 places (Tortuguero, Puerto Viejo, Arenal and Monteverde) and then 5 days in Manuel Antonio at the end. The hotels that GWA arranged were all excellent - they varied in quality and style, but all were clean, well operated, safe and efficient. We then had blocks of activities arranged for us, which were all well run and really fun. The tour guides GWA works with were really professional, knew their area very well, and were full of enthusiasm and energy. Between each place, GWA organized transport - mostly, this was really good, but on 2 occasions, the transport was too full, and on one occasion, there were no seatbelts in the bus - minor things, and actually the only negatives on an otherwise excellent trip, but easy for GWA to resolve for future travellers.
At every point of the holiday (and beforehand), GWA staff were available on WhatsApp to help and support - we'd like to thank Veronica in particular, but also Dennis, Mariana, Karla and Jean Carlo - they were all enthusiastic and competent.
Overall, this was a trip of a lifetime, and I wouldn't hesitate to strongly recommend GWA - they were fantastic.
