Itinerary
Arrival to the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). After customs and enter Costa Rica, a representative of GWA will be waiting for you outside the airport. You will have a private transfer to your hotel located in San Jose.

After breakfast, pick up your rental car and embark on a journey to Puerto Viejo de Limón, located on the Costa Rican Caribbean coast. The town retains its Caribbean essence, with an Afro-Caribbean influence reflected in its music, cuisine, and lifestyle. We suggest to visit the town of Puerto Viejo, filled with colorful murals, local craft shops, and restaurants.

Day at leisure to enjoy the surroundings of the area. Puerto Viejo's beaches are famous for their natural beauty and laid-back atmosphere. Some of the most prominent beaches include Playa Cocles, Playa Chiquita, and Punta Uva, where you can enjoy the sun, surf, snorkel in coral reefs, and explore the vegetation near the coast.

Today, drive to the Turrialba area located in the province of Cartago. This charming town is nestled at the foot of the majestic Turrialba volcano, offering a natural, cultural, and adventurous experience. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the surroundings of the area or enjoying the amenities of the hotel.

Today, drive to “La zona de los Santos”, known for its coffee production and local culture. This area provides a unique experience for those seeking to discover the richness of coffee production and the natural beauty of the region. The vegetation is lush and green year-round, thanks to its location in the highlands of Costa Rica. For this reason, you will encounter a great diversity of birds and other wildlife as you explore the region.

After breakfast, head out to explore the charming Dominical/Uvita area, known for its pristine beaches and relaxed atmosphere. This area serves as a starting point for exploring the biodiversity of Marino Ballena National Park and engaging in activities such as snorkeling, whale watching, and dolphin spotting. Dominical and Uvita are perfect destinations for those seeking a blend of outdoor adventure and tranquility in a natural setting.

After breakfast, drive to the small town of Sierpe. Here, you will take a boat transfer to your hotel near the dense Corcovado forest. Corcovado National Park is home to Costa Rica's most breathtaking natural treasures. A rainforest that will leave you breathless, natural beauty, pristine beaches, and much more awaits you in this destination.

Today, you will visit Corcovado National Park in the company of a professional naturalist guide. The San Pedrillo station offers the opportunity to observe primary and secondary forests, as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna. In the morning, you will take a boat to the starting point; be on the lookout for dolphins or even whales during this transfer. Upon reaching the national park, you will walk through this dense forest, where you may see waterfalls and rivers within the park.

Today, enjoy a snorkeling tour at Isla del Caño biological marine reserve, located 45 minutes by boat from Agujitas. It is the highest point of a 300-hectare underwater mountain. However, its beauty lies underwater rather than on its surface. The reefs and waters provide the perfect environment to observe species of coral fish, rays, sharks, and turtles. With luck, you can see dolphins and whales.

After breakfast, a boat transfer will take you back to Sierpe. Then, you will drive to San José. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy; you can explore the city, dine at a local restaurant, or simply relax at your hotel.
