Arrival to the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). After customs and enter Costa Rica, a representative of GWA will be waiting for you outside the airport. You will have a private transfer to your hotel located in San Jose.

This day, you will visit to Irazú Volcano National Park, located just a few kilometers from Cartago in a pleasant journey from your hotel in San Jose.
The journey begins by driving to the impressive summit of Irazú Volcano. Along the way, you will encounter various types of vegetation, including potato, onion, cauliflower crops, and more. Once in the National Park, take a short and easy walk to the main crater, where you can appreciate its beauty.
Later, you will also visit the Orosi Valley, where you will find one of the few remaining colonial churches, and finally, a visit to the Lankester Botanical Garden, a research center that protects over 800 species of orchids, bromeliads, and countless other plant species.

Today, after breakfast, you will travel from the city of San Jose to the majestic Arenal Volcano area. This journey allows you to leave the city behind and immerse yourself in the serenity and beauty of the landscape surrounding the imposing Arenal Volcano. Along the route, you can admire lush tropical vegetation and finally, reach the imposing presence of the volcano. This trip offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy the peace and tranquility the region offers. Upon arrival, we suggest relaxing in the hot springs of the area.

Enjoy this day, taking a hike in Arenal Volcano National Park with a naturalist guide. You will walk along lava flow trails and have the chance to observe a wide variety of birds, iguanas, coatis, and many other animals.
You’ll then arrive at the observation point of the Arenal Volcano -- this is the closest you can get to the base of the Arenal Volcano -- and the perfect vantage point to take remarkable photos of the Arenal Volcano. This hike takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Then it's time to head to the Paradise Hot Springs, perfect for relax in natural thermal water pools and jacuzzis of different temperatures with focused hydromassage for back, legs, and feet. Today, after breakfast, you'll embark on a journey to Rincón de la Vieja Volcano area. The route takes you through beautiful landscapes, from the tropical surroundings of Arenal Volcano to the influence zone of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, where thermal manifestations, fumaroles, and hot springs characterize the area. After your arrival, enjoy the attractions of the area.

After breakfast, we suggest a visit to “Las Pailas sector” in Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park and a visit to Oropendola Waterfall.
“Las Pailas sector” offers the opportunity to walk through the forest along trails that pass near fumaroles and boiling mud pots. You can feel the energy of the earth beneath your feet while observing the area's vegetation and rock formations. Afterward, you can visit Oropendola Waterfall. This impressive waterfall plunges from a significant height in the midst of a lush tropical rainforest. It's a natural spectacle that will amaze you, offering a refreshing natural pool where you can take a swim and enjoy the beauty of the place.

Today, you will visit to Poás Volcano National Park, where you will witness the stunning beauty of one of Costa Rica's most active volcanoes. Contemplate the impressive view of its crater and immerse yourself in its natural surroundings.
Next, you can enjoy the Doka Coffee Tour, where you will learn about the production process of Costa Rican coffee, from the plantation to the cup.
Finally, you will head to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a natural paradise surrounded by beautiful waterfalls, gardens, and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Here, you will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring multiple selections of traditional Costa Rican dishes and much more.
At La Paz Waterfall Gardens, you will have the opportunity to take a relaxing walk along scenic trails and marvel at the spectacular waterfalls that adorn this magical setting.
