Arrival to the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). After customs and enter Costa Rica, a representative of GWA will be waiting for you outside the airport. You will have a private transfer to your hotel located in San Jose.

After breakfast, pick up your rental car and begin your journey to Katira de Upala. It is a picturesque town known for its tranquil atmosphere and proximity to nature. It offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in natural beauty and enjoy outdoor activities such as jungle hikes and bird watching in its lush green landscapes and crystal-clear rivers. Upon arrival, we suggest you enjoy a visit to the Botanical Garden or explore the attractions of the area.

Day at leisure to enjoy the surroundings of the area. Today, after breakfast, we suggest you explore the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. During the boat tour through this wetland, you can enjoy the biodiversity of this beautiful ecosystem. Due to the immense variety of flora and fauna found here, Caño Negro is also a key migratory route for birds from the north. With luck, you'll have the opportunity to observe migrating fish as well as reptiles and plants.

Today, drive to Rincón de la Vieja Volcano area in Guanacaste. This natural destination is famous for its volcanic landscapes, including hikes, hot springs, mud, and waterfalls. Today, drive towards the Tárcoles area in the Central Pacific. This area is known for the famous Tárcoles River, where you can observe a great diversity of birds.
