Hi! My name is Charissa, the one who has been the past months behind the marketing and promotion of Green World Adventures. I have been in total 5 months this beautiful country to learn and discover more about Costa Rica. I am a Dutch international tourism student and will tell you a bit more about my favorite travels!

Manuel Antonio

This is one of my favorite trips! Manuel Antonio is on the south pacific side of Costa Rica. It is an area where a lot of wildlife can be spotted and therefore the most visited national park in Manuel Antonio. When you do the tour with a guide, you can skip the long waiting line and you will discover much more wildlife! We saw tarantulas, sloths, toucans, Iguanas and a lot of monkeys! Besides the wildlife, they have great hiking tracks and beaches in the park.

Kayaking

I always knew I would’ve liked kayaking, but my first time was here in Costa Rica. It is an adrenaline boost to paddle around at your pace and discover Costa Rica. One of my favorite tours was through the mangrove forest, while you and your guide try to spot animals, you can paddle back and forth to spot animals. I spotted an iguana and kayaking through the quiet mangrove forest is a very unique experience.

Hiking

My favorite hiking track was through Rincon de la Vieja. An active volcano in Guanacaste. There are many volcanoes in Costa Rica, but here you can see the steam blowing, mud, and spot much more. It was a cloudy day so I didn’t hike up the volcano, but they say you can see Lake Nicaragua from above. I will definitely come back, but hiking track …. Was already very exciting.

Caribbean side

That the Caribbean side is seen as a relaxed side is a fact, but the difference in culture is mind-blowing. I decided to stay in a less touristy place: Cahuita. This is close to the famous site Puerto Viejo and walking distance from Cahuita national park. One of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica has many must-visits from which some are busier than others.

I only had the weekends to discover this beautiful country, but we at Green World Adventures can make this trip without a problem. One of the trips that make you experience both sides is “the Coast to Coast Trip: The Highlights of Costa Rica“. You will see it yourself, between the adventure and beautiful nature there is a big difference in culture and landscape!

¡PURA VIDA! It was a pleasure discovering Costa Rica.
