Last weekend, one of our members went to the Pacific Coast and explored the Osa Peninsula! Would you like to escape civilizations for a few days? I would recommend going over there! Located on the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica, it is a wonderful off beaten track destination.

The Osa Peninsula is a perfect destination for wildlife and bird lovers. Relaxing on paradisiac beaches is still an option. Also, this site is known for the Corcovado National Park where you will experience Costa Rican’s most beautiful wildlife, from tapirs to macaws. Diving or snorkeling at Caño Island gives you the chance to see dolphins, turtles, and much more colorful marine wildlife. This destination is an off-the-beaten-track, which is difficult to reach. Places as Drake Bay can only be reached by boat, plane, or 4WD-jeep. For example, the roads require driving through rivers. If you have the opportunity to take the plane, it is a wonderful way to discover Costa Rica from above.

Drake Bay is a remote village, where you will be able to find delicious small restaurants and a few shops. Are you looking for an unusual stay? It is possible to stay 3 days in Corcovado National Park, which is a great opportunity to see more of the wildlife the park has to offer, and you are being completely cut off from the world for a few days. A good way to disconnect!

Activities to do

A must-see is Corcovado National Park. Why would you be here if not for it? The park takes up almost half of the Osa Peninsula. Moreover, it is only possible to enter with a licensed guide due to safety precautions, but you will be able to spot wild animals you might have never seen before!

Horseback riding in Corcovado is another wonderful way to visit the park. Have you seen too much of the forest? Enjoy a wonderful day tour at Caño island where you will be able to spot wonderful marine wildlife.

Are you are getting excited about this destination? You can add this package to another tour or combine it with a beach holiday at one of the destinations mentioned above.
