Today, we want to tell you a bit more about Puerto Viejo and Cahuita (South Caribbean of Costa Rica). After reading this blog you definitely know if these places are worth visiting for you, but I think I already know the answer…
Puerto Viejo is a lovely beach town. It has a great, relaxed vibe and because of this, it is the perfect place to relax. You can go to the beach or visit one of the many nice restaurants in town. Get a nice braid in your hair or enjoy a fresh, artisanal ice-cream near the beach. From Puerto Viejo, you can easily bike around, for example to Manzanillo. Along the way, you can stop several times to spot animals or go to other beaches.
Cahuita is not far from Puerto Viejo, and worth a visit for other reasons. Cahuita has a National Park where you can spot animals like monkeys, raccoons, sloths, and many more. Done with walking? Step just outside of the National Park on the stunning beach of Cahuita. It is beautiful! In addition, it is recognized as one of the best places to snorkel in Costa Rica.
